Recently a group of WellSky female engineers participated in the Women’s Conference organized by the Greater Austin Association of Asian Engineers (GAAAE). This one-day, in-person event was focused on women’s career advancement and covered topics such as professional development, business networking, and personal growth for women.
“As a Filipina-American in tech, it was a joy to spend the date at the GAAAE’s first Women’s Conference with fellow WellSky teammates. The panel of seasoned leaders were diverse and shared excellent advice,” said Andrea Barto, a WellSky engineering leader.
Deepika Dasari, a WellSky engineer, added, “I had great time meeting other women in technology at the conference. I enjoyed listening to the speakers during the panel discussion. Hearing their experiences and how they dealt with some of the everyday problems women face at work was energizing, encouraging, and motivating. I definitely got some useful information that will help me personally and professionally, and I'm looking forward to learning even more in the future.”
