Elevating reliability: WellSky Specialty Care health check initiative

Delivering consistent, high-performing solutions is a core priority for the team behind WellSky Specialty Care. As our systems grow in complexity and scale, maintaining infrastructure reliability becomes increasingly critical. To meet this need, we conduct a weekly health check that provides structured, proactive monitoring of our hosted environments.

This initiative is designed to ensure our systems are operating optimally, identify potential issues before they impact users, and continuously improve the reliability of our services. It reflects our commitment to performance, transparency, and client satisfaction.

The health check initiative helps ensure clients have the best possible experience with WellSky Specialty Care by:

  • Improving visibility into system performance across environments
  • Reducing the likelihood of outages and performance degradation
  • Supporting faster, more informed support responses

What we monitor

Each week, our engineering teams assess system health during peak usage hours using a standardized rating system – red, yellow, and green. Our monitoring covers numerous metrics, with a focus on these key categories:

  • System resource usage such as CPU and memory
  • Storage capacity to ensure adequate headroom
  • Application performance including transaction latency and garbage collection
  • Infrastructure responsiveness through disk I/O and related metrics



This structured approach allows us to detect patterns, prioritize remediation, and maintain high service standards.

Looking ahead

The health check program is a foundation for more resilient infrastructure and better client outcomes. In the coming months, we will:

  • Publish monthly summaries to highlight performance trends
  • Integrate health check insights into client support workflows
  • Expand automation and tooling to improve monitoring efficiency
