Meet Tina Griffin

With more than 25 years of QA experience, Tina’s path has been guided by an eye for detail, tenacity, and the willingness to dive into the unknown. Today, as a senior quality engineer at WellSky, she’s recognized not just for her expertise, but for being one of the first to embrace new tools and methods.

A Career of Curiosity

Tina’s journey began in the U.S. Navy, where she upgraded and maintained underwater surveillance computers for six years. The Navy sharpened her attention to detail and persistence, traits that became central to her career in software quality. After her Navy career, she advanced her QA skills at Turner Broadcasting and later as lead QA at SciHealth, a company acquired by Mediware (now WellSky) in 2009.

Since then, she has been at the forefront of change at WellSky. From setting up automation tests in Azure pipelines to experimenting early with Playwright and Copilot, she thrives on being among the first to test new approaches. “I like our team to be one of the first to try anything new,” she said.

Learning and Growing

Tina's role continues to evolve as she learns new skills and tools – like C#, JavaScript, Playwright, JMeter, Git, and AI prompting – that help push her team’s work forward. Beyond technical growth, Tina appreciates the culture of collaboration, noting that “everyone helps each other, and the skill level is incredible.”

Her favorite thing about WellSky? It is a good place for people who like to continuously learn. “There is always an opportunity to learn something new,” she said.

Beyond QA

When she’s not working, Tina can usually be found in her garden, reading, or planning her next trip with her husband.

Their most recent stop? Rome and Naples, Italy.

Her proudest accomplishments, though, are her children: Hannah, a therapist who runs her own practice, and Cameron, a Navy veteran who now works as a QA on jet airplanes.

That sense of pride, growth, and curiosity carries through everything Tina does, making her story a perfect reflection of what WellSky is all about.
