Ali brings a unique perspective to WellSky, blending her clinical background with a passion for health technology. From occupational therapist to tech innovator
Ali's path to WellSky isn't a typical one. She began her career as an occupational therapist, gaining valuable clinical experience in skilled nursing facilities, home health, and outpatient settings. This hands-on experience gave her a deep understanding of the challenges faced by healthcare providers on the front lines. Prior to WellSky, Ali worked at naviHealth as an inpatient care coordinator for the BPCI-A program, which sparked her interest in the health tech world. This experience, combined with her clinical background, ultimately led her to transition into the product management space.
"It has been an awesome journey," Ali shares. "I love being a part of solving problems for our users who are boots on the ground in our health systems and striving for optimal patient outcomes."
Life beyond WellSky
When she's not working to improve post-acute care, Ali enjoys spending time outdoors with her husband and two children. From family walks and runs to biking, gardening, bird watching, and even lifting, she embraces an active lifestyle. Her weekends are dedicated to quality time with her family, exploring the outdoors and enjoying each other's company. Ali's dedication to an active lifestyle extends beyond leisure; she proudly shares her accomplishment of competing on a CrossFit team at Regionals and in Wodapalooza.
Ali's WellSky journey
Ali joined WellSky through the acquisition of a portion of naviHealth. She recalls her initial impression of WellSky, noting the welcoming atmosphere and the inspiring mission shared by WellSky chairman and CEO Bill Miller during her first town hall meeting. Over the past two years, Ali's role has evolved, growing from a product owner to a combined product manager/product owner role. She embraces the challenges that come with her work, including navigating a provider database migration and now contributing to the use of generative AI in a new post-acute solution. Ali's proudest accomplishment at WellSky is her continued growth in her product career and the knowledge that she's making a valuable contribution to her team, business unit, and the company as a whole.
