Adam Geoffrion, engineering manager within Connected Networks group, brings a wealth of experience and a passion for technology to WellSky. Graduated from the University of Kansas with a degree in computer engineering, Adam honed his skills at various software companies in the Overland Park area before joining Koch Industries in Wichita, where he quickly transitioned into an engineering manager role.

Adam's life outside of work revolves around his family: a busy and joyful world filled with a 3-year-old son and a 1-year-old daughter. When he finds a moment, he enjoys cheering on his favorite soccer teams – Sporting KC and Liverpool – and following college basketball, especially his beloved Jayhawks at KU. Weekends are often spent at a Sporting KC game or exploring the Kansas City Zoo with his children.

Adam's initial impression of WellSky was a breath of fresh air. "This is the first time I have been in a large SaaS company where the SDLC is mature," he explains, highlighting the company's focus on software solutions and a mature development process. He appreciates the emphasis on continuous improvement, with initiatives like enhancing CI/CD, code review processes, and automated testing readily embraced.

Reflecting on his leadership journey, Adam emphasizes the importance of servant leadership. "The goal is to be a servant leader, unblocking, and enabling my team to deliver what is needed," he says. He values collaboration and mentorship, actively seeking input from colleagues and learning from their experiences.

Adam's favorite aspect of working at WellSky is the company's unwavering focus on engineering excellence. "Building software solutions to solve real-world problems isn't just a passion for the individual engineers here, but also for WellSky," he emphasizes. This shared passion creates a stimulating and rewarding environment for engineers like him.

WellSky provides numerous opportunities for professional growth and development. Adam cites the internal annual DevDays conference as a particularly impactful experience, offering exposure to a wide range of technologies and fostering valuable connections with colleagues across the company.

For those considering a career at WellSky, Adam encourages them to embrace the endless possibilities. "I believe the opportunities and learnings here for a software engineer are endless," he says. "I wish I joined WellSky earlier in my career because it has already taught me so much about the SDLC." With its diverse technologies, collaborative culture, and commitment to innovation, WellSky provides a dynamic and rewarding environment for engineers to thrive.
