Recently, WellSky Chief Technology Officer Joel Dolisy and Chief Architect Balki Nakshatrala presented at the Google Cloud Next ’24 conference. Their session was titled “Solving healthcare’s ‘Pajama Time’ problem with AI-powered clinical forms” and showcased how WellSky is integrating Google Cloud's healthcare and Vertex AI capabilities to reduce clinician “pajama time” — time spent completing documentation outside work hours — and gain efficiencies in care provision, workforce satisfaction, and retention.
WellSky connects the the entire continuum of care, supporting 130,000 home-based care providers, 9,100 agencies, and 2,000 hospitals. Patient care is highly regulated, requiring extensive focus from clinicians to produce compliant documentation. “We deal with more than 100 million forms annually across home-based care and specialty care settings in our system. The clinicians spend a lot of time after work filling in those forms when they are supposed to be at home with their family. With generative AI, we have a lot of opportunities to bring back some quality of life to them,” said Dolisy.
On February 1, 2024, WellSky announced a new strategic partnership with Google Cloud to leverage its secure cloud technologies, advanced data analytics tools, machine learning capabilities, and enterprise-ready artificial intelligence (AI) platform, Vertex AI.
