WellSky at Atlassian Team ’25
The Atlassian Team '25 conference unveiled exciting innovations that showcase a clear vision for the future of teamwork, and WellSky teammates were excited to be part of the conversation. As an organization that leverages Atlassian tools to help our teams plan, build, and scale software, we were especially energized by the new capabilities introduced across Jira, Confluence, and the launch of Atlassian’s AI teammate, Rovo. Teams can now align more easily with business goals, plan and track work with greater visibility, and share knowledge more effectively than ever before.
A new era of the ‘System of Work’
At the core of Atlassian’s updates is the system of work, a connected environment that supports how teams align goals, manage progress, and collaborate across tools and functions. This concept is being brought to life through smarter integrations, AI-powered assistance, and connected apps designed to reduce context switching and increase productivity. Look for the new navigation, debuting fresh experiences in Home, Goals, and Analytics to name a few.
Enhanced tools across Jira and Confluence
Atlassian is doubling down on creating intuitive, customizable tools for all team types.
New in Jira:
- List view: Manage tickets like a spreadsheet with drag-and-drop ease.
- Custom project templates: Save time setting up new teams with tailored configurations.
- Public intake forms: Streamline external requests into structured Jira issues.
New in Confluence:
- Live docs (Beta): Real-time document editing—no need to hit publish.
- Interactive whiteboards: Perfect for brainstorming and collaborative planning.
- Contextual AI assistance: Get writing help, page summaries, and suggestions based on the content you are working on.
Meet Rovo, your new AI teammate
Perhaps the biggest highlight was the introduction of Rovo, Atlassian’s new AI teammate powered by Atlassian Intelligence. Rovo helps teams work smarter by bringing together advanced search, chat, automation, and agent-driven tasks into one interface.
Reflecting on the experience, Derek Rone, our Atlassian administrator at WellSky, shared his perspective. “Team '25 was great. Seeing Rovo up close really showed how serious Atlassian is about using AI to change the way we work,” Derek said. “There were a lot of cool announcements, and it feels like a big shift is coming.”
The collaborative nature of the event also stood out. “Getting to hang out with other users and swap stories and ideas was just as valuable as the sessions themselves,” Derek said.
To drive new ideas forward, WellSky has launched a pilot with a small task force that is working to uncover scalable Rovo agent use cases across teams.
