From coding games on a TI-83+ calculator in high school to becoming a dynamic problem solver at WellSky, Jared Gailey's journey is a testament to curiosity, creativity, and continuous growth.
Early engineering days
Jared’s passion for technology ignited in the back of a classroom, where he secretly programmed games on his calculator. That spark evolved into a deeper interest in web development, leading him to pursue a degree in computer science at Middle Tennessee State University. His career began with the sleep solutions and services team, where he spent eight years before the team joined WellSky last year.
A jack-of-all-trades engineer
Originally focused on front-end development, Jared’s role has expanded into a multifaceted position as a senior software engineer. He’s now a go-to teammate for everything from backend architecture to workflow optimization.
“I’ve slowly become a jack-of-all-trades problem solver,” he said. “Whether it’s untangling front-end quirks or brainstorming creative solutions to help our clients.”
Jared thrives on the freedom to explore different technical domains and values the trust he’s earned to take initiative wherever he can add value.

He’s passionate about solving problems that help others, whether that means building something from scratch or refining an existing system. Life beyond the keyboard
Outside of work, Jared is an avid hiker who enjoys exploring the outdoors with his wife and their German shepherd. He is also a maker at heart, dabbling in woodworking and 3D printing during his free time.
